I noticed a note from you on Carpe Diem article Minimum Wage= Maximum Employment. I have been arguing with a MI resident for most of a year now, me saying that MW and the consumer income that it supports is absolutely crucial to economic growth. He (and BLS) tell me that MI unemployment is over 8%. The weekly UI report tells me that the MI unemployment is at 3%. My take is, that at 3%, you should see lots of help wanted signs in shop windows, while at 8% you would not. Could you verify my strong suspicion that BLS is fudging numbers? armanchester@yahoo.com
